Part cooperative art gallery and part treasure chest of fabulous finds, from jewelry to vintage items and random collectibles, the Underground Arts Society or "UAS"—as the locals call it—is a true delight to discover. And if you are so lucky to be invited to spend a moment in the secluded garden, the experience becomes even more delightful.

Owner Ben McGinty has lived in Altadena his entire life and is very much a fixture of our community and has been at the same location at 2473 Lake for many, many years.

Featuring some of the most talented, colorful and spirited artists in the local area, you know the McGinty's has a lot of character and examples of diversified, intriguing and controversial artwork. The type of work, passion and local Altadena production is what makes this local establishment so memorable.
